Ignore Feature Information and Reminders

Hello Lumerians!

We are so excited to see old and new faces around RoD! Because of the influx in activity we wanted to give some reminders about how the ignore function on site works and should be respected.

Email Ignores:

This blocks all incoming emails from another player. They will be unable to send you a private message. Once a player is ignored for emails, they remain ignored until you choose to remove it. However, if you have pokes enabled they can still be used.

Chat Ignores:

This will block messages in all live chats. You will not be able to see them, they will not be able to see you. Unfortunately, it is possible for either player to remove a chat ignore at any time.

This is the only warning we will give to players if they are found abusing the ignore function going forward. Anyone who decides to violate a player's ignore will be punished as follows:

First Offence: 1 week chat/email mute
Second Offence: 2 weeks chat/email mute
Third Offence: 1 month banned from site

If this cannot be respected after returning from a month ban accounts will be at risk of being banned for longer periods or permanently.

Ignore Function Rules:

1. If you are ignored in emails, DO NOT send pokes.
2. If you are ignored in chats, DO NOT remove them from your list.
3. DO NOT use an alternate character to try and contact them.
4. DO NOT make new accounts for the purpose of contacting them anonymously.
5. If you are ignored on one account, assume that they would ignore you on ALL accounts.
6. DO NOT attempt to contact them through the RoD Discord server.
7. If a person who has ignored you contacts an unknown alternate character, it is YOUR responsibility to inform them that you are someone they do not wish to contact. You do not need to reveal your other accounts to the person. However, if you continue to communicate and it is discovered later on that you failed to inform it will be considered a violation of the ignore function.

If you suspect that someone has violated your ignore list, you must petition or send a message through the ModMail bot in the Discord server. Staff will look into it and if any of the above rules are broken they will act accordingly. If there is no offence, no action will be taken. If you do not contact us, we aren't able to do anything about the situation.

Note: Mutes and Bans will be applied to ALL accounts, not just the account the offence was committed on.

RoD Discord Server:

As a reminder, the RoD Discord server is an extension of the site, and the rules and expectations are the same, as well as any consequences for violating them. We encourage players to utilize discords Blocking ability if you find yourself in conflict with someone.

The server also has a roleplay chat that players can use if there are people online on the site they don’t wish to interact with. In the future we can revisit adding side chats and private channels, but for now there is only the main Lumeria chat on the discord server.

Questions and concerns can be petitioned in and will be answered at Staff's earliest convenience.

ALL staff are capable of performing their duties and are happy to help you with any issue! DO NOT message staff directly, use the petition or ModMail function so there is a record. If you attempt to bring this to the attention of a staff member privately, they will direct you to submit a petition or ModMail message. If further information is required, Staff may reach out to collect any evidence. Screenshots of the conversation may be taken for the purposes of sharing this information with other staff members.
